A film for the Voltway look · 1:00 · 30 bars at 120
Differentminds.Shared energy.
A third one-minute film for Voltway, the fictional energy-careers look on this shelf, in the same isometric 2.5D as the first two. The first grew a city outward from one cell; the second followed one red thing down a production line; this one brings four together. The look's four pathways are four islands — a campus, a city block, a workshop and an open day — and the film opens on a screen split four ways, one island in each. A person in red sets out from each, drawing a red line behind them, and the four pictures pull back until they are one. On a round plaza between the islands the four lines bend into quarters of one circle; when the fourth arrives the ring closes, a cell lights up on the table and the energy runs back to every island. Every frame is rendered in your browser as it plays; the score is code, cut to the same bars.

NotesHOW IT IS MADE
Four ways in
The look offers four pathways — new graduates, experienced talent, technical careers and early opportunities — so the film begins as four films. Each pathway is an island with its own instrument in the score: bells for the campus, piano for the city, plucked strings for the workshop, marimba for the open day.
Four pictures become one
The four quarters of the opening are four cameras with the same angle. As the walkers set out, each camera pulls back towards its own quarter of the wide shot; when they get there the seams close and the split screen is a single picture, with no cut.
Four quarters, one ring
Red is kept for the four walkers and the lines they draw. On the plaza each line turns into a quarter of a circle, so no one closes the ring alone: it is complete when the fourth arrives, on the downbeat, and only then does the cell on the table light up.
The look's own words
Every line on screen comes from the Voltway look's copy — its pathways, its culture card, its news and resources. One sentence of the culture card is spoken across the three bars in which the four pictures merge. Voltway is fictional; nothing here describes a real company, place or job.
